PRODUCT WE USE

Pacyfire is an approved applicator for various passive fire-protection systems that include light-weight as well as high-density materials suitable for industrial and commercial requirements.

FIREPROOFING: Fireproofing, a passive fire protection measure, refers to the act of  making materials or structures more resistant to fire, or to those materials themselves, or the act of applying such materials. Applying a certification listed fireproofing system to certain structures allows these to have a fire-resistance rating. The term fireproof does not necessarily mean that an item cannot ever burn: It relates to measured performance under specific conditions of testing and evaluation. Fireproofing does not allow treated items to be entirely unaffected by any fire, as conventional materials are not immune to the effects of fire at a sufficient intensity and/or duration.

Fireproofing Products for Commercial Construction

Low-density (15 pcf) products are designed to provide fire-resistive ratings for structural steel, joists, and floor and roof decking in concealed areas. The products we use include Cafco 300, ISOLATEK Type CP-2, and Vermitex® â€˜DX’ and ‘AF’ 15 High Yield.

Medium Density (22 pcf) products are designed for exposed areas where moisture and/or abrasion resistance is required. Products we utilize include and Cafco 400. Medium Density products are typically used in mechanical rooms, storage areas, gymnasiums, and indoor pool areas.

High Density (40 pcf) products are designed for indirect weather exposure and where abrasion resistance is required. The products used include Fendolite-II,TG and Pyrocrete 40. High Density products are typically used in manufacturing plants, power plants, and stadiums.

Fireproofing Products for Industrial Construction
Industrial grade fireproofing materials are designed for interior and exterior use and to protect against rapid temperature rise fires. The products utilized are MANDOLITE®550, and Pyrocrete 240 and 241 with densities between 40 and 55 pcf. Recommended uses include petrochemical facilities, offshore drilling platforms, and manufacturing plants

Intumescent Fireproofing
Intumescent fireproofing is a thin film coating that can be used for both interior and exterior applications. It provides fire protection for structural steel by expanding when heated to insulate the steel. Products used Nullifire Etc.

Intumescent fireproofing can be used in commercial and industrial construction. For commercial construction projects, it is typically used as a decorative coating on exposed steel. On industrial construction projects, it provides fire protection in extreme conditions such as offshore drilling platforms and petrochemical facilities.
